Mind Your Mate - Suicide Prevention Skills for University Students.

This two-hour live online programme will help you understand where suicide risk comes from; by understanding why fellow students may become at risk we are better able to help them.
During this programme, you will learn how to use the Look Listen Link model to reduce risk within our friends, flatmates and fellow students, by spotting the signs someone may be at risk, by listening to them, and by linking them to the help they need including Student Support, Student Advice and their G.P.

Emotional Resilience Skills for University Students.

This two-hour live online training will help you develop an understanding of how emotional resilience protects our mental wellbeing. High resilient people are far less likely to develop depression when things go wrong in their lives than people with lower levels of resilience.

Research informs us how Emotional Resilience develops and how we can learn to become more resilient. We will explore some of the life skills that highly resilient people use to thrive in life.

One of the most damaging habits we can develop is pessimism – seeing ourselves failing when there is no evidence on which to base your prediction. Pessimism is toxic to your mental wellbeing. During the programme we will explain how to neutralise your pessimistic thoughts.
