SKILLS TRAINING FOR PARENTS

Suicide Prevention Skills for Parents

This live online programme will help you understand where suicide risk can come from; by understanding why people may become at risk we are better able to help them.

We demonstrate how to use the Look Listen Link model to reduce risk within our families, by spotting the signs someone may be at risk, by listening to them, and by linking them to the help they need including the school and your G.P.

Emotional Resilience Skills for Parents

This live online training will help you develop an understanding of how emotional resilience protects our mental wellbeing. High resilient people are far less likely to develop depression when things go wrong in their life than people with lower levels of resilience.

Research informs us how Emotional Resilience develops and how we can learn to become more resilient – and that benefits everyone in your family.

One of the most damaging habits we can develop is pessimism – seeing ourselves and others failing when there is no evidence on which to base your prediction. Pessimism is toxic to your and your family’s mental wellbeing. During the programme we will explain how to neutralize your pessimistic thoughts.
