BETTER MENTAL HEALTH THROUGH EDUCATION
Emotional Resilience Skills Training
We deliver Emotional Resilience Skills Training that helps reduce the risk that people will develop depression or anxiety because of adverse events in their life. Most emotional resilience is learned behaviour – we can learn to become more resilient and thereby reduce the risk that we could develop issues such as depression.
Training delivered when you need it delivered
We can tailor our programmes to fit your need, whether it’s twilight sessions for teachers, lunchtime sessions for staff or half-day programmes for a whole organisation. We deliver our training using zoom or Microsoft teams and have successfully adapted our programmes to online delivery.
Direct delivery or Train the Trainer
There are organisations that need us to deliver our training directly to their staff or members; for example, we deliver our training directly to the Met Police and the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons as part of their Mind Matters Initiative.
Other organisations wish to build their own capacity to deliver our training programmes and we provide a Train the Trainer Programme. Many Students’ Unions have chosen this option including Glasgow, London School of Economics, Royal Veterinary College, Aberystwyth, Ulster, Loughborough, Swansea, Wrexham and Sussex.
Our training focuses on the people around someone at risk and we train them to follow the Look Listen Link model to protect everyone involved.
Emotional resilience is a major defence against depression, and it is primarily a learned behaviour.
